The Rectal Surgery Instrument Set is a specialized general surgical configuration designed to support anorectal and rectal procedures requiring surgical access, examination, tissue manipulation, dissection, hemostasis, biopsy and wound closure.
The configuration combines Hirschman anoscopes in multiple sizes with a Sims speculum, Pratt probe and crypt hook, Yeoman biopsy forceps and Buie suction tube. Tissue forceps, retractors, scissors, hemostatic forceps and a needle holder provide additional instrumentation for different stages of rectal and proctological procedures.

Biopsy Instrumentation: Includes Yeoman biopsy forceps with a specified 4 × 8 mm bite and ring-handle configuration.
Tissue Handling: Includes Pennington, Allis and dressing forceps for grasping and manipulation during surgical procedures.
Cutting & Dissection: Includes curved and straight Mayo scissors with specified tungsten carbide construction together with straight operating scissors.
Hemostasis & Clamping: Includes Crile-Rankin and Rochester-Pean forceps for hemostatic and clamping applications.
Surgical Exposure: Includes Volkman retractors in sharp and blunt four-prong configurations for tissue retraction.
Suction & Closure: Includes a Buie suction tube with finger valve and a Mayo-Hegar needle holder with specified tungsten carbide construction.
